The summer Dubuque Farmers’ Market has been located in the Upper Main district around City Hall since 1845. Now, the market sprawls over more than three city blocks on Iowa Street and extending down 12th and 13th Streets. Put 1300 Iowa St., Dubuque, IA 52001 into your GPS to find our market!
The Dubuque Farmers’ Market takes place from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., every Saturday, May through October. The first market date of 2017 will be May 6, 2017. The final market date of 2017 will be October 28, 2017.
Can I bring my pet?
Only well behaved, vaccinated, leashed dogs are allowed at the Dubuque Farmers’ Market. Leashes may not be longer than 36″. Dubuque Farmers’ Market reserves the right to ask any pet and its owner to leave the premises at any time.
Vendor-owned pets are not allowed within the Market area, with the exception of service animals. In addition, the sale of any live animals is not allowed at market.
Are you a producer-only market?
Items offered by vendors are to be grown, produced, or crafted at the vendor’s farm or home unless the vendor has been issued a Special Item Permit by the Dubuque Farmers’ Market Committee. Items requiring a Special Item Permit will be determined by the Farmers’ Market Executive Committee on a case-by-case basis. Vendors at the Dubuque Farmers’ Market must reside within 100 miles of Dubuque.
Where should I park?
There is plenty of street parking available around Farmers’ Market, as well as a BRAND NEW City of Dubuque parking ramp only one block away at the corner of Iowa and 10th Streets! The parking meters are monitored so please remember to bring loose change to avoid a parking ticket. For more information, please visit the City of Dubuque’s website.
The PetMed Parking Lot is PRIVATE PARKING for their customers only. We need to be courteous of our neighbors, who are in business 365 days a year, and who graciously tolerate us borrowing their sidewalks every Saturday!
There is limited parking available in the Fischer Companies lot, located between 12th and 13th Streets and Iowa Street. Please drive slowly in the lot as there are usually many pedestrians walking in between the parked vehicles.
Please do not leave your pets in parked vehicles in this hot weather. Even with the windows open, they can easily over heat. (We know they would like it much better to spend their Saturday mornings at home, in the air conditioning!)
